Montana Girl looking for boat type advice
Posted by Linda Montana on Feb 26 2006
Hi Alaska Boaters,

Coming to Alaska for the first time in the spring. Staying about 6 weeks and want to be able to get around the coastal waters to see wildlife and scenery. Coming in an RV pulling a SUV. Should I have a Zodiak, canoe or sea kayak or what? I'm very comfortable on the water and have lots of experience with power boats. Raised in Florida power boating and scuba diving. Not done much canoeing and have never kayaked. Willing to learn though. I realize that the temp amd topography of Alaskan waters is a whole lot different from the waters in Florida and the Carribean so the watercraft needs are very different. Appreciate any advice offered.
