The trailer is not galvinized, and was getting a bit rusty. Last summer I paid $1K to a guy in Kenai to sandblast it and put marine epoxy on it, and so far it has held up well. The brake parts are pretty cheap, which I replaced on both sides as well last summer. I also added a flush kit to the brakes so you can hook up a fresh water hose and get the salt out each time.
