Getting into PWS from Seward can be rough, you're open to the full brunt of the Gulf of Alaska when you leave Resurection bay, so you need a pretty substantial boat for that initial run.  Whittier is more protected to get into PWS, but the winds can really whip up through Whittier as well.

Asside from that, I'd say a 25' boat is small for 3-4 adults for multiday trips, it's small for family where you don't mind being so crammed together.  I'd say you are looking at a 28' boat, and I'd highly recomend diesel power, as 28' boats suck serious fuel.

It's tough to find a boat in the size range you are looking at that is fast enough to get you to the fishing grounds for daytrips, yet big enough to be comfortable for multiday trips.  You also didn't mention if the boat would be trailered or moored.  Larger boats are a serious deel when it comes to trailering them, especially if you have to run through some of our mountain passes.
