You have to learn how to operate the boat to keep this to a minimum; slow down for tight turns and chop. One big help is a "Fin Kit" consisting of small plates that go on each side of the jet foot that help hold the water in the intake. You can eliminate the problem completely by lowering the motor so that the jet foot is even with the bottom of the hull, rather than the bottom of the tunnel. This however causes a noticeable loss of speed and defeats the purpose of the tunnel in the first place; to be able to run and take off in shallower water than a standard flat hull. There are trade offs for everything. You just have to decide what you want to do with your boat. There is no all around boat that does everything well. Good luck with your choice.
