Single w/kicker
Posted by Cherokee on Jan 23 2006
I have the 24' with twin 115s and it's got plenty of room for fishing.  One thing that I would do different is that I'd go with a single 225 or 250 and buy a used kicker instead of the twins.  The reason for this is that the Yamaha is a very reliable motor.  With twins, all maintenance costs are doubled and I just don't think it's worth having both.  The 225 or 250 will get you on plane quicker and will probably have better fuel efficiency (my opinion).  You can probably look at Yamaha's website to get efficiency comparisons for these motors.
