Leaving a boat parked on the trailer in Whittier
Posted by jrogers on Jan 12 2006
I am thinking about upgrading to something like a seasport voyager, or a 30 aluminum crusier like a CoastalCraft or a Lifetimer. I want something that I can trailer, but that I can sleep 4-6 on as well. Since it is a long wait for a slip unless you want to pay for the private marina, I hear you can leave your boat in the parking area in Whitter for around $300 per year. I would be interested in anyones expeience in doing this? Have you had things stolen or your boat scratched or dented? Any other issues to consider? It seems like this is a lot of dollars that are at risk sitting there, but it seems like quite a few people do this.
