Evinrude E-Tec
Posted by Akuzilvak on Aug 24 2005
I am purchasing an Evinrude E-Tec 150 Saltwater Edition for delivery next spring.  I will run it on the lower Yukon river.  I believe that the E-Tec is the best outboard in the world.  We run our motors from the time the ice leaves the river until the day the river freezes up.  Boats are like cars in the villages.  My cousins have run E-tec 90's and have had zero problems.  They are more fuel efficient than the four strokes, quieter, use less oil, and have zero smoke.  Although a four stroke and the e-tec can be rated at the same horsepower, the e-tec delivers far greater power and torque to the water under all load conditions.  The E-Tec is a smart choice.
