Since 1977, I've always used my lightweight 14'lake style boat with a 9.9 Hp Evinrude, but the weeds and grass, give me lots of trouble.  Is there anything better?  What about a flat bottom and a 35 Hp Outboard with a Jet unit?  Will the weeds etc. trouble the jet unit more than a prop?
