Fees#2
Posted by Sound Fisher on Jul 12 2005
I fish the sound frequently, and have for about 11 years.  2 weeks ago I went to Seward, pulling my 22 Osprey with my V 10 Dodge @ 7mpg. Caught halibut and lots of silvers. $100 cheaper overall to go to Seward. Less fees and a shorter boat run.But I still will continue to go to Whittier. I just love the sound too much, and I cant get 30#s of shrimp tails out of Seward on a two day trip.I am very frustrated about how I, (We) are being gouged at Whittier for the launch and parking fees. I realize that they have expences, but I feel that $15 to launch is not reasonable.Hopefully they may get this under control.Well enough of my whining. Time to go fishing!
