There are two basic design problems that make them incompatible. The first problem is that the transom is very susceptible to damage in shallow water where the fabric covers over the bottom of the transom. The second problem you have is the hull shape where the keel ends and the transom begins. There is a little bend that disturbs flow of the water where the jet foot is trying to do the intake this is the cause of your cavitations problems.
