Posted by stainless on May 22 2005 The outfit I bought the boat, motor and trailer seemed to think it would work, I don't think they have sold this type of setup before. I like the boat, and I like the motor but the two dont seem to work well together. Just befor the transome the boat floor bulges downward about an inch from the inflatable tube, this may be some of the problem aswell. There was talk about welding fins on the shoe or adding some type of deflector to the transome, I don't like either cause if they don't work then i have holes in my boat or a screwed up shoe.the transome has been modified already with a rise plate for the jet. The dealer phoned the rep at mercury before I bought the boat and said it would work fine. Now is the time to do something cause its only a couple of days old and I don't want to be out 10gs for a boat that doesn't work.
