For my $$$
Posted by cory100 on May 22 2005
Do your research and figure out exactly what you want.  I just got a NRS Scout 14 footer.  If I had my druthers (and more $$$) I would have gone with a Sotar or Maravia.  Don't just buy in AK.  I was able to get a great deal and with shipping was still less than AK dealers!  I have done many trips with a 14 foot Sotar, 2 people, 4-5 days.  If you are hauling more people than this I would look at a little bigger boat.  Remember however that bigger boats could limit the rivers you float.  Good luck!
