China Poot Bay

How hard is it to get in and out of this bay? I've got a bunch of company coming up this summer and am thinking of taking them over there to get some steamer clams and to spend the night. My boat is a 27 ft. SeaSport. On the charts this bay looks pretty shallow but I've heard rumor of a channel in there somehwere. Can I safely get her in and out of there? Thanks for the advice.
