[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] anchor Posted by Savage300WSM on May 09 2005 There are alot of variables when you are talking about anchors. The most important one is the size of the boat. If you have a john boat then the standard river anchor will work. The 20 lb. danforth style worked good for me on my 19 ft. Hewescraft River Runner. Chain is an important part of you rset up too. The chain cuts down the angle your anchor is pulling from. It keeps it closer to bottom. I am now moving up to a boat twice the size and do not think that anchor will do. I have not seen any up here in Alaska (Fairbanks), but there is a rocker style anchor set up that I am probably going to go with. There are pictures posted on River jet magazines Forum. www.harrispublishing.com/fusetalk/forum/index.cfm?forumid=11 Previous: River anchoring Craig Smith Jun 14 2005 Next: River Anchor !!
