River
Posted by AkHunter45 on Apr 13 2005
I know you can run the Kanuti but not sure how far. A friend and I tried running that river with a 17' Grumman square stern with a motor and went as far as the first set of fast water, decided to turn around to see if we could make it back up it and barely made it so we ended going back to the truck. We were running an 8 horse Yamaha on a lift and the canoe was loaded with our gear so if we would have shot a moose, we would have been in trouble trying to get out. We did see one jet boat in there just below that fast water so i know a jet could make it. Hope this helps.
