Canoe and motor help
Posted by cross21114 on Apr 04 2005
I could not find another forum to post this so I'll try here.

I have a 17' Gruman canoe (double ender) and am planning to bring it to Alaska this summer.  I would like to be able to put a 5 or 6hp engine on it.

Has anyone used one of the clamp on motor attachments on a double ender?  If so, how stable is it?  How hard to handle?

Should the engine be a short or long shaft?

Thanks for your help.
