Spring Boating Classes in Anchorage

Those of you in the Anchorage area might be interested in this:

Boating in April at Alaska Pacific University:
BASIC SEA KAYAKING CLINIC
Learn the basic skills of sea kayaking in two evening sessions. You'll
learn strokes, safety issues, wet exits, and simple rescues. Equipment
is provided or bring in your CLEAN boat if you got one!
Date: Mar 15 & 17
Time: 7:30 - 9:30pm
Fee: Student $15, Faculty/Staff $30, General Public $45
KAYAK ROLL CLINIC
Roll clinics at APU are offered in a four part series. Learn the basics
of types, sizes, purposes of kayaks, paddles, skirts and other
equipment. Get hands on instruction on your roll and network with other
paddlers. Equipment is provided but you are welcome to bring in you
CLEAN kayak.
Date: April 1, 8, 15, 22
Time: 6:30 - 8pm
Fee: Student $30, Faculty/Staff $60, General Public $90
OPEN BOATING
Need some extra practice time in the pool? Ready for the spring runoff?
Ready to hit the rivers? Come to OP's Open Boating session and meet
fellow paddlers while honing in on your roll and maneuvers.
Date: April 7
Time: 8 - 10pm
Fee:$1; Faculty/Staff $2; General Public $3
Call the Moseley Sports Center at 564-8314 to sign up for any of these.
