galvanic corrosion meters: NEW START
Posted by jklingel on Mar 13 2005
Here is a link to the "corrosion tube" to which I referred earlier. (Could not remember its name.)  http://www.farwst.com/fwst/refelect/gmc09.htm ;    I have been told that you can make one of these, too, but the problem is getting it referenced. To do that, you apparently need access to one of these "tubes" anyway. As for the voltage being between 0.9 and 1.1 v, all I can tell you is what the folks on the other forums say, "according to the corrosion engineers". I don't know stink: just passing on what I read and trying to learn. Sure, boats wear out, but there is not point in encouraging it if easily avoidable. j
