shaft conversion
Posted by Cresent Hills on Feb 24 2005
I used a "Bay Patterns" conversion kit on a merc 25 some years ago. Seems like i paid about 300-400 bucks for the kit that included a shaft extension, water line extension & shaft housing extension.

The kit went on ral smooth and to this day I have had zero problems with this set up.  The motor is a late 80's and i did the conversion about ten years ago.

A quick check on Google didn't show Bay patterns, but give Andy a call at Noah Marine in Anchorage. He is the one who set me up with my kit.

Good luck

Tom
