I'm building my stretched widebody in a two car garage, and have only 3" of clearance length wise.  It is less than ideal, but if you have  a heates space to work, there is no reason not to build one.  The cnc skiff kits weren't available when I started, but I'd definately go that route, it would be a huge time saver, and well worth the extra cost.

Now if I could just find time to finish my boat to go fishing this year!
