If you want a Tolman, you'll have to build your own, as Renn's retired.  On the other hand, there is now a guy in Anchorage making Tolman kits that have the wood cut with a computer controlled router.  Save's lots of cutting time, and makes for perfect parts.

If you have the time to build a Tolman, you can make a 22-24 foot jumbo with cuddy cabin and pilothouse for ~$25k, which is boat, trailer, 115 main, 10 kicker and basic electronics.  That is about $20k less than a C-dory 22, and IMHO, you get a much better boat.  The Jumbo has a deep V bottom, a bit more beam, and an absolutely cavernous cuddy cabin in comparison to the comercially offered boats in its class.
