John, I also have a Harbercraft 1825 with a 50hp Honda prop on it.  I have been thinking about some way to store rods when underway but haven't come up with a good idea yet.  Where are you going to mount it specifically?  How do you like your boat.  I really like mine except for the inconvenience of having to take the canvas up and down whenever I tow it to/from the water.
