definatly be carefull around Dry Straits if you go that way....certainly I agree with only going at high tide. That area around the Stikine River is a huge sand flat and the water will leave you stranded in a hurry if the tide starts running out. It really is a nice trip from Petersberg over there though and a good boat launch towards the south end of Mitkoff Island (Petersberg).
