Tunnel for a 16' Flat-bottom ???
Posted by Jeff Shannon on Jan 10 2005

I have a 16', Lowe, flat-bottom and I'd like to tunnel the hull to get it to run just a little shallower.  My father has an aluminum shop in Montana and he can fabricate the tunnel and ship it to me, but I'm not quite sure what dimensions I should have him make it.  Do any of you boating enthusiasts have any recommendations for the dimensions of the tunnel, particularly length?  How about recommendations for an aluminum welder in the Fairbanks area?  Any advice is very much appreciated.

Jeff
