[ Return to Contents | Post a Reply | Post a new message ] 16 footers Posted by SuperDick on Jan 10 2005 The crestliner has got a nice vee and high gunwales. The 50 horse prop will get you places too. I've done the Yukon in a 16' Quachita flatbottom with a 40 hp prop. The largest concern is the chop when the wind picks up. Your vee should cut pretty good though. If you don't have experience with large (up to a mile wide), swift, unpredicatble water and weather...get some. Otherwise have fun.
