sounds doable

I've been up-riverfrom the bridge in a 16 ft with a 35hp jet several times without trouble (about 70 miles round-trip).  The river was fairly tame except when the winds picked up.  It got a little choppy, but if you use your head and take it easy, you sould be able to handle it.  However, 300 miles is a long way...Obviously, you'll have to consider fuel and gear as well as the weight that accompanies it.  If you limit the risks and take your time, I think it could be managed.
